Laurens Plomp

Laurens Plomp is a seasoned structural designer with extensive experience in maritime and civil structural projects. Currently employed at Bruce S. Rosenblatt & Associates since July 2020, Laurens specializes in 3D structural modeling and detail design for various vessels, including work on Great Lakes Dredge ships and Canadian JSS projects. Previous positions include roles at Ship Architects, Inc., Waldemar S. Nelson & Co., Austal, General Dynamics NASSCO, BAE Systems Southeast, Shell, Fluor Corporation, Technip, and Worley. Laurens has a strong background in structural design, modeling, and production drawings, contributing to numerous high-profile projects globally. Educational qualifications include a Structural Design Apprenticeship and studies in Naval Architecture & Design at the University of Waterloo and Collingwood Shipyards.
