Bruno van Pottelsberghe

Bruno van Pottelsberghe serves as the Rector and President of Corvinus University of Budapest since August 2024, overseeing approximately 500 faculty and staff while leading research and training for 10,000 students with a focus on internationalization and accreditation. Holding extensive experience in policy analysis at Bruegel as a Non-Resident Fellow since November 2007, and previously as a Resident Fellow, Bruno also contributed to the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management from October 1999 to August 2024 as Dean and Full Professor specializing in innovation and intellectual property. Other notable positions include Chief Economist at the European Patent Office, Director of the Solvay Executive MBA, and Vice President of the Solvay Business School. Bruno's educational background includes multiple degrees from Université libre de Bruxelles, culminating in a PhD in Economics.
