Vignesh Iyer has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Vignesh began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University at Buffalo, where they taught biochemistry and conducted research on oxysterol levels in mouse models. Vignesh then worked as a Research Assistant, focusing on LC/MS analysis and HPLC analysis of cholesterol and fat-soluble vitamins. After that, Vignesh joined Select Laboratory Partners as a Senior LC/MS application scientist and Toxicology Manager, leading the toxicology department and developing quantitative assays for pain medication and drug abuse. Vignesh then moved on to The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center as a Clinical Research Manager, responsible for managing clinical trials and laboratory procedures. Currently, Vignesh holds the position of Director of Medical Affairs at Bruin Biometrics, LLC, where they previously served as a Senior Manager and Manager in clinical research and development.
Vignesh Iyer has a strong educational background in biotechnology. Vignesh completed their Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology at the University at Buffalo from 2012 to 2014. Before pursuing their master's degree, Vignesh obtained a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology at the same institute from 2007 to 2010.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Vignesh also possesses several certifications. In November 2021, they completed ETQ Reliance Administrator Certification Training and ETQ Reliance Basic Designer Certification Training, both offered by ETQ. Furthermore, in May 2020, they obtained the Association of Clinical Research Professionals - Certified Professional (ACRP-CP®) certification from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
