Scott Novak

Head of Global Communications at Bruin Sports Capital

Scott Novak has a long and varied career in communications and public relations. Scott started their career in 1992 as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In 1998, they joined DKC Public Relations, Integrated Marketing and Government Affairs as a Senior Vice President, where they rose from Account Executive to SVP/co-executive in charge of the Media/Business/Sports Division. In 2007, they were recruited to join the Time Inc. senior management team as Vice President Communications & Brand Development for Sports Illustrated, where they led the transformation of the iconic print publication into a category leading media enterprise. In 2012, they moved to Time Inc. as Senior Vice President Communications & Brand Development, working closely with leadership to shape the message and the communications strategy for the $3.3B global media company. In 2017, they joined Bruin Capital as Head of Global Communications.

Scott Novak attended Seton Hall University from 1988 to 1992, where they received a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Business/Corporate Communications. In 2019, they completed an Executive Education Program at Stanford University in Finance and Accounting for Non Financial Executives.
