Mellanie Hu is currently serving as a SOX PMO & Testing Intern at SoFi since June 2024 and has been an Associate at Bruin Value Investing since February 2023. Previous experience includes an Investment Banking Intern position at Stifel Financial Corp. from October 2023 to January 2024, and a Private Equity Analyst Intern role at JC Koinon Industries, LLC from June 2023 to October 2023. Earlier experience includes a Data Analytics Intern position at Summit Public Schools from September 2021 to June 2022 and a Research Intern role at Character Lab from June 2021 to June 2022. Mellanie Hu is an alumna of UCLA and Summit Shasta High School.

Bruin Value Investing is UCLA's leading undergraduate finance organization and first student-led investment fund. Members gain hands-on experience in understanding and forming investment ideas through creating team-driven stock pitches. These investment ideas are developed using the value investment perspective, which seeks to find businesses with sustainable competitive advantages and a market price trading below its intrinsic value. While developing and presenting investment ideas, members gain exposure to the various aspects of financial markets, investment research, and financial analysis. Beyond being a finance organization, Bruin Value Investing also prides itself on its driven, tight-knit, and inclusive culture, as we strive to support our members both professionally and personally.
