Shanil Govindpershad

Shanil Govindpershad currently serves as Managing Director and General Manager of Bruker SA (Pty) Ltd while also heading Commercial Operations for Africa, following the merger of Hain Lifescience SA with Bruker in 2021. Previously, Shanil held roles as Global Portfolio Director and Regional Marketing Manager for Vector Borne Diseases at Abbott, leading marketing and business development across Africa, LATAM, and APAC. With experience at Siemens Healthcare as Regional Product Manager and in various roles such as Product Manager at SEPARATIONS, Bioinformatician at the National Institute for Communicable Diseases, and Intern Medical Scientist at NHLS, Shanil has developed a strong background in medical science, marketing strategy, and bioinformatics. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology from The University of Manchester, as well as a BSc in Biomedical Science and BSc Medical Science Honours from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
