Giovanni Tassistro is a microbiologist with extensive experience in quality control and environmental microbiological monitoring. Currently employed at Bruschettini since August 2019, Giovanni conducts microbiological analyses of various products and oversees the environmental microbiological monitoring of sterile production lines. Previous roles include postdoctoral research at the University of Genoa, focused on pathogenic strains of Vibrio cholerae, and a PhD investigating pathogens affecting the Pacific oyster. Additional work encompasses studying interactions between vibrios and surfaces in different environments and developing molecular assays for detecting pathogenic bacteria. Giovanni holds a PhD in Marine Sciences, a Master's in Molecular and Health Biology, and a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the University of Genoa, along with technical training in industrial management.
