Rik Derom

Rik Derom is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the aviation and construction industries. Currently serving as the Manager of Business Partnering & Works Coordination at Brussels Airport Company since January 2016, Rik oversees property management, infrastructure helpdesk operations, and asset management business partnering, ensuring minimal impact on airport users. Prior roles include Sr. Project Manager for the Airfield Build team, focusing on renovations and new constructions related to aviation infrastructure, and Technical Manager for airside works, managing budget, planning, quality, and safety for various projects. Before joining Brussels Airport Company, Rik held positions at TUC RAIL as Construction Contract Manager and Site Leader, managing multiple projects and overseeing quality, planning, and budget. Rik holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, achieved in 2010.
