Tom Hewitt

President, Bruyère Foundation at Bruyère

Tom Hewitt is the President of the Bruyère Foundation at Bruyère. Prior to this, they were an Academic Assistant at Queen's University from January 2021 to May 2021. Tom has also worked as an Occupational Therapist at CommuniCare Therapy from September 2019 to February 2021, and as a Mitacs Accelerate Intern at Mitacs from May 2019 to August 2019.

Tom Hewitt has also interned at CNIB, where they worked on creating a new standard for vision loss rehabilitation in Canada, and Addiction and Mental Health Services Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, where they worked as a resource support worker. Tom has also worked as a summer student at Ridgewood Veterans Health Wing - Long Term Care Facility and Horizon Health Network.

Tom Hewitt has a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen's University and a Kinesiology degree from Acadia University. Tom also has certification in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training from LivingWorks and Academic All- Canadian (Cross Country) from U SPORTS.

Tom Hewitt works with Peggy Taillon - VP, Strategy, Engagement, Communications, Development & Integration, Shaun Mcguire - Chief of Staff, and Melissa Donskov - VP, Residential & Community Care Programs. Tom Hewitt reports to Guy Chartrand, President and CEO.
