Julie Cerenzia joined BCI in April 2016 as Director of Research and Information Services.
Prior to joining BCI, Julie founded a management consulting firm. Her firm provided research, analysis, strategic planning, and advisory services to Montana businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies.
Before opening her business, Julie had a ten year career in the U.S. Department of Commerce. She worked in various positions within the International Trade Administration, coordinating U.S. government advocacy for U.S. firms; providing subject matter expertise on international finance and investment; serving as the Department’s liaison to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC); and working closely with the Project Finance division of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank). Julie began her career with the Montana Department of Commerce, managing international tourism promotion for the state, and served briefly as the Assistant International Affairs Coordinator for the Governor of Montana.
Julie holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Mason University, a Master’s degree in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and a B.A. in Political Science from Montana State University. She has lived in Italy, Scotland, and England, and studied briefly in Germany.
