Lee Curtis has a diverse work experience in the field of ecological sciences and conservation. They started their career as an intern with the Rowley Conservation Commission in 1999. In 2001, they worked as a Wildlife Technician with The Trustees of Reservations. The following year, they interned with the South Hadley Conservation Commission.

In 2003, Lee took on the role of Conservatory Manager at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory & Gardens, where they assisted with greenhouse work, butterfly propagation, and acted as an educator and guide for tour groups.

Moving onto their work at BSC Group, Lee began as a Wetland and Wildlife Scientist in 2004. Over the years, they took on roles such as Client and Project Manager, Senior Associate and Manager of Ecological Sciences, Vice President & Principal, and most recently, President & Director of People and Culture. In these positions, they were responsible for various tasks including project management, regulatory assessments, and permitting strategies. They also had a focus on ecological services and energy-related projects.

Lee Curtis has a strong educational background in environmental conservation. They obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2001. Following that, Lee pursued further education and completed a Master of Science degree in Wetlands Conservation at the same institution from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Lee also obtained two additional certifications. In 2008, they earned a Certificate in Native Field Studies with a focus on Field Botany from the New England Wild Flower Society. In 2010, Lee obtained a certification as a Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector from EnviroCert International, Inc.
