Frances Morris-Jones

Frances Morris-Jones is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and governance. Currently serving as a Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director at the Oil and Gas Authority since November 2015, Frances has also held various leadership roles, including Interim Chair during 2018-19, where significant board initiatives were introduced. As a Board Trustee for Protect and Anti-Slavery International, Frances is committed to promoting whistleblowing and human rights respectively. Additionally, Frances contributes to the BSI Standards Policy and Strategy Committee and serves as a Governor at the University of Portsmouth, chairing the Audit and Quality Committee. A former Executive Director at 3Legs Resources and Global Business Development Manager at ConocoPhillips, Frances has a strong background in business development and strategy in the energy sector, further enhanced by previous roles at BP and Det Norske Veritas. Frances holds a MA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
