Ricardo Pimentel

Ricardo Pimentel is a highly experienced professional in the field of structural engineering, currently serving as Technical Director and Decarbonisation Lead for Building Structures at Pell Frischmann since May 2022. Additionally, Ricardo is actively involved with BSI as a member of multiple subcommittees on Composite Structures and Steel Structures. With a strong background as a consultant and manager at the Steel Construction Institute since April 2018, Ricardo also co-founded VN2R in January 2019. As an invited lecturer at CMM, contributions include courses on BIM methodology and steel-concrete composite design. Prior roles include Senior Structural Engineer at SE2P and Graduate Structural Engineer at Poço-Equipamentos Industriais. Academic credentials include a PhD in Steel and Composite Structures and both a Master of Science and Master of Engineering in related fields from Universidade de Coimbra.
