Hasan Zafar Chowdhury

Hasan Zafar Chowdhury is the COO of Steels at BSRM. Prior to joining BSRM, Hasan worked as Supply Chain Director at Abul Khair Group from January 2007 to August 2010. In this role, they were responsible for the supply chain of consumer goods, cement, and division. Hasan also led several project teams. Prior to their role at Abul Khair Group, Hasan worked at Unilever from January 1994 to December 2006, where they progressed through a variety of roles in the supply chain department before becoming the General Factory Manager. In this role, they were responsible for managing the factory, overseeing TPM, change management, safety, quality, and supply chain excellence initiatives. Hasan also played a key role in several packaging and innovation projects. Hasan has a wealth of experience in supply chain management and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their role as COO of Steels at BSRM.

Hasan Zafar Chowdhury completed their SSC from Adamjee Cantonment College in the Science field. Hasan then completed their Higher Secondary Certificate from Chittagong College in the same field. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. Finally, they completed their Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
