Sanjay Thakkar

Sanjay Thakkar has extensive work experience in the steel industry, having held various managerial positions in multiple companies. Sanjay began their career in 1991 with Essar Steel as a GET, working on the implementation of the HSM project. Sanjay then worked with Jindal Stainless Ltd as an AGM, responsible for the smooth operation of the stackel mill. Following that, they held multiple roles with Essar Steel, including Manager - HSM Operations, DGM - HSM Maintenance, Head CSP Mill Projects, and finally as General Manager - Special Projects. In 2014, they joined JSW Steel Ltd as General Manager Projects. Their most recent position was with the BSRM Group of Companies, where they served as the Head of Strategic Projects.

Sanjay Thakkar completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda from 1986 to 1991. Sanjay also pursued a degree in Business Administration and Management, General (IIM A - MEP) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad from 2010 to 2011.
