Manfred Schmiedl

Manfred is a global technology and business leader with a 25-year career in large scale organizations and private equity backed companies. He is a strong information technology professional focused on international management in multicultural environments. Manfred holds a MSc in Technology Management and Consulting. Before founding bsurance as CTO he served as VP of IT infrastructure delivery and operations for Global Blue, the world leader in the tax free shopping industry and a key player in added-value payment solutions. Major structural changes have been achieved in his responsibility to improve the company’s delivery, quality and on-time execution. Prior to that, he was working for Austrian Airlines and for Austrian banks – mainly focused on investment banking and treasury services. During his activities he gained excellent experience with the set-up of innovative and business critical IT systems.
