Dr. Betsy Patterson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE has a range of work experience in the healthcare field. Dr. Betsy Patterson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, began their career as the Director/Administrator at Johns Community Hospital Home Health in 1994, where they served until 2000. Following this, they worked as the Director of Nursing at Johns Community Hospital from 2001 to 2009. In 2009, Dr. Patterson joined Amedisys as the Director of Operations, a position they held until 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Taylor Medical Center, before transitioning to the role of Administrator/Chief Nursing Officer at Taylor Hospital from 2013 to 2014. In addition to their extensive work in healthcare organizations, Dr. Patterson also worked as an MSNLM/MSNI Faculty Evaluator at Western Governors University from 2018 to 2019.
Dr. Betsy Patterson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FACHE holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from The University of Alabama. Dr. Betsy Patterson, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, also obtained a Post-Graduate Certification in Healthcare Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, a Master's of Science in Nursing in Administration/Leadership in Healthcare Systems from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and an Associate's degree in Nursing from Austin Community College.
