Ghassan Salman's work experience includes various positions in the healthcare industry. Ghassan started their career at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital as an Internal Medicine Physician from 1999 to 2003. Ghassan then joined The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, where they held roles as an Internal Medicine Physician, Associate Chief Medical Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and ultimately as the Chief Executive Officer from 2003 to 2018. Since 2018, Ghassan has been working at Baylor Scott & White Health, where they initially served as the Medical Director at BSW-Quality Alliance in Temple, TX, and later took on roles as an Internal Medicine Physician, Associate Chief Medical Officer, and is currently the SVP, Regional Chief Medical Officer for the Greater Austin Region.

Ghassan went on to attain a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) from the American College of Physician Executive (ACPE) from 2006 to 2008. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Healthcare from the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2013 to 2015.
