Dr. Andrew Blair

Dr. Andrew Blair has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dr. Andrew began their career in 1988 as an Analyst Programmer at IBM Australia. Dr. Andrew then worked as a student at the University of Technology, Sydney from 1986 to 1992. After completing their studies, they returned to IBM Australia as an Analyst Programmer for a year. In 1996, they joined BT Financial Services as the Vice President of Wealth Management Architecture and worked there until 2002.

From 2002 to 2005, Dr. Blair worked at the Australian Taxation Office as a Program Architect, providing digital architecture leadership and expertise to various ATO initiatives. Dr. Andrew then moved to NAB/MLC Wealth Management as a Program Architect from 2005 to 2009.

In 2009, Dr. Blair co-founded a Fintech company called Payment Adviser and served as a Co-Founder and Director until 2011. Dr. Andrew then joined the National Australia Bank (NAB) in 2011 as the Manager, Solution Architect for NabWealth. Dr. Andrew also held the position of Program Architect, leading solution consulting for senior stakeholders in NAB Wealth.

Dr. Blair joined BT Financial Group in 2015, where they held various roles such as Lead Architect for BT Panorama and BT Superannuation, and later became the Head of Architecture for the entire group in 2018.

Throughout their career, Dr. Andrew Blair has demonstrated expertise in architecture, solution consulting, and digital leadership within the financial industry.

Dr. Andrew Blair completed their Bachelor's degree in Computing Sciences at the University of Technology Sydney from 1986 to 1989. Dr. Andrew then pursued a Masters in Computing Sciences at the same university from 1990 to 1991. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Computing Sciences from the University of Technology Sydney from 1993 to 1996.
