Elma Sjekirica

Elma serves as BT Family Office’s Family Controller. She works closely with families to provide accounting, financial reporting and analysis and other services including bookkeeping, investment reporting and tax reporting assistance. Elma has a strong understanding of the financial needs of ultra-high-net-worth families and provides each family with a clear, concise view of their current financial position and long-term objectives. She takes the time to get to know each family on a personal level in order to understand their specific goals and ensure their continued financial success.

Elma started her career in public accounting with HLB Gross Collins, P. C., where she served a broad range of multinational and international clients across a variety of industries. She has extensive experience in managing and performing audit engagements, preparing financial statements and providing guidance to clients on other accounting and financial reporting issues.

Elma previously served as a Fund Accounting Manager at Trident Trust, where she was responsible for accounting, financial reporting, investor reporting and onboarding processes for private equity funds.

Elma received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University. She speaks fluent Croatian and Bosnian and is proficient in German. She enjoys hiking, cycling, traveling and spending time with her family.
