Stephen Ponzio

Stephen Ponzio currently serves as the Head of Electronic Trading at BTIG, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Stephen was the Head of Execution Strategy at Millennium from April 2012 to September 2023, where a focus on systematic, automated, data-driven execution led to significant improvements in efficiency. Stephen's earlier experience at Citi from September 2004 to April 2012 encompassed designing and building US equity trading algorithms, alongside managing liquidity and impact cost modeling for the US Cash Trading Desk. Academically, Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science, an MS in Computer Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics, all from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1984 and 1995.
