Marianne McAvenna has extensive work experience in marketing roles. Marianne started their career at BTO Solicitors LLP in 1998 as a Marketing Assistant, where they established the firm's marketing department and planned and implemented various marketing initiatives. Marianne then progressed to become a Marketing Manager, where they maintained brand visibility for BTO during the pandemic and contributed to the growth of the firm's profile and client base in the London insurance market. Currently, they hold the position of Marketing Director at BTO Solicitors LLP. Prior to their work at BTO, Marianne worked as an Au Pair in Paris and as an English Language Teaching Assistant at Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Cuenca.
Marianne McAvenna completed their MSc in Marketing at Strathclyde Business School from 1996 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a BA Joint Honours Degree in Spanish and French (Language and Literature) from the University of Strathclyde, which they completed from 1990 to 1996.
In addition to their formal education, Marianne McAvenna has also obtained several certifications. Marianne is a Certified Digital Marketing Professional v9.0 from the Digital Marketing Institute, which they earned in January 2022. Marianne also completed the Filmmaking and Video Production for Marketers and Video Editing Essentials for Marketers programs through the British Film Institute (BFI) in July 2021. Furthermore, they completed The Strategic Marketing Masterclass - Modules 1 and 2, a 35-hour program, offered by CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in April 2017.
Currently, Marianne McAvenna is pursuing a field of study in Digital Marketing at the Digital Marketing Institute, with an anticipated completion year of 2022.
