David Terrio

President at BTQ Financial

David Terrio is a principal and co-founder of BTQ Financial, a national leader of financial and accounting outsourcing services for the nonprofit sector. As President, David directs the firm’s strategic and operational activities and is responsible for marketing and new ventures.

David maintains a role in all client engagements in order to ensure that expectations are met and exceeded. He leads the development of new and innovative business solutions which work to merge the very best of information and human technologies. He drives the firm’s commitment to partnering with nonprofits and providing the highest level of services at the lowest possible cost.

Prior to setting up BTQ Financial, David was a partner with BTQ’s predecessor organization Burchman Terrio Urban Consultants. As a consultant to over thirty nonprofits and government agencies, David played a key role in the development and operations of innovative social service, health and housing programs. Throughout his career, David has worked to develop new financial models and sources of capital and operating funds for the nonprofit sector.

David is a graduate of Georgetown University and holds an MBA from New York University. Prior to establishing Burchman Terrio Consultants in 1983, David worked for the City of New York’s Department of Real Property, Columbia University School of Social Work, Goddard Riverside Community Center, Project FIND and Hearst Publications.
