Wasi Shirwali

Wasi Shirwali is an experienced Civil Engineer with over 10 years of expertise in the Waikato, Auckland, and Manawatu regions. Currently serving as the Waikato Engineering Team Leader and Senior Civil Engineer at BTW Company Ltd since October 2019, Wasi provides effective engineering advice while mentoring a team of engineers. Prior experience includes roles as a Project Manager and Water Engineer at GHD, where Wasi developed strong skills in communication and project management, and as Works Over & Backflow Manager at Watercare Services Limited, focusing on major infrastructure projects impacting the Water & Wastewater network. Beginning as a Graduate Civil Engineer at Palmerston North City Council, Wasi was involved in various council units and specialized in assessing the transportation impacts of new developments. Education includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from The University of Auckland.
