Gord Smith

Gord Smith has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Gord began their career as an Estimator/Grademan at B&B Contracting in 1991 and worked in that role until December 1992. In 1993, Gord joined Concost Consultants Inc. as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, a position they held until June 2002. In July 2002, Gord joined BTY Group, where they started as a Partner and eventually transitioned to the role of Operations Director in December 2018.

Gord Smith attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1986, where they obtained a Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering Technology. Prior to that, from 1982 to 1984, they studied Computer Science at The University of British Columbia. In addition to their formal education, Gord Smith has obtained various certifications including Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) from the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC, LEED Accredited Professional from the Canadian Green Building Council, Professional Quantity Surveyor (Fellow) from the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, and membership in the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
