Dr. Michael Gayger

Dr. Michael Gayger is a Rechtsanwalt at avocado rechtsanwälte since October 2021 and has served as a Lehrbeauftragter for European State Aid Law at Bucerius Law School since 2017. Previously, Dr. Gayger worked at DLA Piper from September 2016 to September 2021, focusing on litigation and regulatory matters in public economic law, state aid, and EU law. Dr. Gayger gained valuable experience as a Rechtsreferendar at Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf and the European Commission, specifically in DG Competition and antitrust policy, and as a legal clerk at CPG - German South-East Asian Centre for Excellence in Public Policy and Good Governance. Academic involvement includes roles as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Bucerius Law School.
