Corazon Ochanda

Director Of Health Equity at Buckeye Health Plan

Corazon Ochanda has extensive work experience in various roles related to health equity, injury prevention, teaching, and research. Corazon is currently the Director of Health Equity at Buckeye Health Plan since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from 2015 to 2020, where they served as a Program Manager for the Comprehensive Children's Injury Center and as the National Injury Prevention Coordinator. Corazon worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UMKC from 2014 to 2017. Before that, they were the Healthy Communities Manager at Special Olympics Kansas from 2013 to 2015. Corazon also worked as a Healthcare and Nutrition Educator and Coordinator at reStart Inc. from 2011 to 2013. Their earliest work experience includes a role as a Mass Communications Research Assistant at Kansas State University in 2010.

Corazon Ochanda pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Gerontology from Kansas State University for the duration of five years, from 2005 to 2010. Later, they went on to complete their Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, studying from 2012 to 2015.
