Chris Thome

Chris Thome has extensive experience in the field of organ transplantation, working in various roles for Buckeye Transplant Services and Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC).

At Buckeye Transplant Services, Thome started as a Clinical Recovery Associate and worked their way up to become a Transplant Coordinator, where they collaborated with multiple transplant centers to improve outcomes and implement best practices. Later, they became a Clinical Services Manager, overseeing multiple transplant center contracts and ensuring teams were well-trained and compliant.

Chris currently holds the role of Director of Business Development at Buckeye Transplant Services. In this role, Thome is responsible for presenting new innovations and initiatives to clients, providing ongoing support, and generating new business by attending conferences and meetings.

Prior to their time at Buckeye Transplant Services, Thome worked at Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC). Chris started as a Clinical Recovery Associate and eventually became a Clinical Recovery Coordinator, responsible for coordinating the organ donation process within multiple hospitals.

Chris Thome completed their Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Christopher Newport University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended George Mason University in 2006 for Global Affairs, although they did not obtain a degree from that institution. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Honored Listee from Marquis Who's Who in May 2023, Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator from ABTC in April 2017, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support from the American Heart Association's Professional Education Center in April 2016, Basic Life Support from the same institution in October 2014, and Certified Transplant Preservationist from ABTC in March 2014.
