Alberto Garbayo

Alberto Garbayo is a seasoned aerospace executive with extensive experience in propulsion systems and business development. As the Founder and CEO of URA Thrusters since December 2019, Alberto has pioneered sustainable propulsion solutions for spacecraft, utilizing innovative technologies and sustainable propellants. In addition, Alberto serves as the UK CEO for AVS Added Value Solutions, overseeing various aspects of the company's UK operations while previously holding roles such as Business Development Manager and Project Manager, where significant contracts were secured with major organizations like Airbus and the UK Space Agency. Alberto's contributions extend to advisory positions with the UK Space Agency's Space Technology Advisory Committee and the Westcott Space board, and prior engagement with the FAIR-SPACE Hub, demonstrating a commitment to advancing space technology and fostering industry collaboration. Alberto's educational background includes a Master of Engineering and Master of Science in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from the University of Navarra, as well as enrichment courses from the University of Oxford and Copenhagen Business School.
