Samela MacOn

Samela Macon has extensive experience in the field of foster care and adoption, currently serving as Vice President at Buckner International since February 2002, with previous roles including Interim Vice President, Senior Director for Domestic Foster Care & Adoption, Regional Director for Southeast Texas Foster Care/Adoption, Department Supervisor, and Home Developer. Prior to their tenure at Buckner International, Samela worked as a PMC Specialist at the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services from September 1997 to March 2000. Samela holds a Master of Science in Leadership & Human Resource Development from Louisiana State University, completed between 2018 and 2020, and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Lamar University.
