Georgette Helbling

Georgette Helbling is a Media Specialist at Bucks County Technical High School, specializing in Information Literacy and information retrieval skills while managing a significant collection of over 15,000 volumes and curriculum materials since September 2000. Previously, Georgette served as the Regional Leader for Decoding Dyslexia PA, advocating for educational interventions for dyslexia from April 2014 to July 2014, and was the Assistant Secretary for the NAACP Bucks County Branch, contributing to program planning and outreach from January 2005 to December 2012. From 2008 to 2011, Georgette participated in local politics as a committee person for the Bucks County Democratic Party, engaging with residents on district issues. Georgette holds a Literacy/Reading Certification from Arcadia University and an MLS from Wayne State University, along with a Master of Library & Information Science focused on Urban Libraries.
