Dennis Karstanje

Dennis Karstanje is an experienced data science professional with a robust background in the financial sector. Currently serving as the Team Lead Data Science at Budget Thuis since July 2017, Dennis drives impactful modeling projects within the Business Intelligence department. Prior to this role, Dennis operated as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company and previously held positions at Robeco as a Coordinator for Super Quant Internships and Quantitative Researcher, contributing to investment research and proprietary model development. Dennis's academic foundation includes a PhD candidacy in Financial Econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Finance and Econometrics. Additionally, Dennis served as a Data Specialist at the Erasmus Data Service Center, supporting access to essential databases for research.
