Chinonye Nnaji's work experience includes various roles and responsibilities in the legal field.

From 2022 to the present, they have been working at BudPay as the Group Head of Legal and Expansion. In this role, they oversee the legal and regulatory affairs of the company across multiple jurisdictions and is also responsible for leading new market expansions.

Prior to that, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as a Senior Legal Associate at VFD Group Plc. Chinonye'swork involved providing legal advisory services to the company and its subsidiaries in the financial services and capital market industries. Chinonye focused on deal structuring, venture capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, fintech advisory, technology advisory, and regulatory compliance.

From 2017 to 2021, they had two roles at Kenna Partners. Initially, they worked as a Legal Associate in the Finance, M&A, capital market, and fintech units. Later, they became the Deputy Team Lead of the sub-finance team, where they led corporate and project finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and provided advisory services in areas such as public private infrastructure financing and capital market.

In 2018, they worked as a Research Assistant for a book called "Outcomes-Based Governance: A modern approach to corporate governance".

Chinonye also had a brief legal internship at Banwo & Ighodalo in 2015.

Overall, Chinonye Nnaji has gained extensive experience in legal advisory, deal structuring, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and financial services while working in various organizations.

Chinonye Nnaji began their education at Lagoon Secondary School, where they attended from 2006 to 2012. Following this, they enrolled in Bridge House College for the University Foundation Programme, studying there from 2012 to 2013. Chinonye then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Kent from 2013 to 2016. Later, they attended the Nigerian Law School in Lagos, completing their studies in 2017 and receiving a Bachelor of Laws degree (BL). In addition to their formal education, Chinonye Nnaji obtained certifications in various fields. These include being an Associate Arbitrator (ACIArb) from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), being a Chartered Secretary and Administrator (Graduate) from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), and completing a course on "Corporate Governance for the Modern African Lawyer" at the University of Cape Town.
