Amy Sullivan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Amy is currently the Director of Development at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West since March 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Director of the Montana Office of Gift Planning at the Montana Community Foundation from June 2014 to March 2020. From 2004 to 2014, they were the President/CEO of the Montana History Foundation, where they oversaw all aspects of the nonprofit organization. Amy also worked in the Montana Secretary of State's Office as the HAVA Director from May 2003 to June 2004, successfully implementing a federal program to improve election integrity. Before that, they had a role as a lobbyist and played a key role in passing major legislation for their clients. Additionally, they have held roles in communications and public relations in the U.S. House and United States Senate, as well as in the Governor's Office of Montana. Amy began their career as a news reporter at KGWN-TV.
Amy Sullivan has a strong education background in journalism. Amy pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Print Journalism and social psychology from Northwestern University between 1985 and 1989. Following this, they went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, completing their studies between 1985 and 1990.
