Zachary Howe is currently a board member at BUFFALO HEARING AND SPEECH CENTER INC. Prior to that, they served as the Interim Director of Administrative Services and Coordinator of Business Affairs at University at Buffalo from October 2011 to February 2018. In this role, Zachary was responsible for overseeing all areas of several internal business units, leading the team in the execution of several initiatives across operations management, financial management, program management, and marketing.
While overseeing a 42K square foot facility, Zachary drove process improvements that cut budget tracking process time from weeks to hours and slashed procurement turnaround time from months to one week. Zachary was regularly selected to serve on leadership committees and was a key contributor in expanding the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program significantly by instituting a new training program, volunteer recognition, and growing funding from $1.2K to $8K.
Before their role at University at Buffalo, Zachary served as a Sponsored Project Analyst at Research Foundation of SUNY from June 2010 to October 2011.
Howe received their Master of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo School of Management and their Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Marketing from Central Washington University.
