Prior experience includes leading a research group in Innovative Food Technologies at Universität Hohenheim, overseeing R&D projects and industry collaborations, and serving as a doctoral researcher in food process engineering. Dr. Kern's expertise encompasses predictive process modeling and the application of data-driven methodologies, with contributions to projects on dairy alternatives and advanced extrusion processes. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Food Process Engineering and an M.Sc. in Food Science and Engineering from the University of Hohenheim, along with international experience at Wageningen University & Research.
