Dr. Lino Guzzella is a professor emeritus at ETH Zurich, where they served in the Department for Mechanical and Process Engineering until retirement in 2022. They held several significant positions at ETH, including rector from 2012 to 2014 and president from 2015 to 2018. Lino Guzzella worked in R&D roles at Sulzer, Hilti, and Winterthur before becoming an assistant professor at ETH in 1990. Currently, they are active as a partner at Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, serve on the board of directors for Kistler Group and Glas Trösch Group, and hold the presidency of the board of directors for Nagra. They are a fellow of IEEE and IFAC, as well as a member of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences (SATW).
