Jack Segal

Jack Segal is currently the Director at BUILD Chicago. Jack has an extensive background in communications, with over 20 years of experience in the field. Jack began their career as a Press Relations Manager at Michael Reese Hospital before moving on to the American Medical Association as a Senior Public Information Officer. In 1996, Jack took on the role of Director of Public Relations for AHIMA. Four years later, Jack became a Senior Vice President at Edelman, where they provided strategic counsel and managed key accounts in the agency health practice. In 2006, Jack took on the role of Vice President of Public Affairs for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas. During their time in this position, Jack oversaw media relations, social media, editorial services, government relations, community relations, charitable giving/community building, mobile health services, community sponsorships and corporate volunteer activities. Jack also served as a media spokesperson and was a member of the corporate Diversity and Inclusion Council. After five years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Jack took on their current role as Director at BUILD Chicago.

Jack Segal completed a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
