Kirsten Mallik is the current Chief Development Officer at BUILD Chicago. Kirsten has over fifteen years of experience in the field of development and fundraising. Kirsten started their career as a Strategy Consultant at PwC Consulting from 1999 to 2002. In 2002, Kirsten became the Associate Director of Development for Annual Giving at the Latin School of Chicago, where they were responsible for securing over two million dollars in unrestricted operating gifts each year. Kirsten left the Latin School of Chicago in 2012 to become the Major Gifts Officer at John A. Moran Eye Center, where they served until 2016. Kirsten then became the Director of Advancement at the University of Utah Radiology and Imaging Sciences in 2016, where they served until 2018. Kirsten has been with BUILD Chicago since 2018 and currently serves as their Chief Development Officer.

Kirsten Mallik studied East Asian Studies and Intellectual Theirtory at Harvard University, where they graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. Kirsten then attended the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, where they obtained their M.B.A. in Management & Organizational Strategy and Social Enterprise & Non-Profit Management.
