Katherine Applegate is a Sr. Program Manager at BUILD Bay Area, where they continue to foster educational initiatives. Previously, they served as an English Teacher at Richmond High School from 2018 to 2023 and taught English Literature at Atid School for grades 11 and 12 from 2017 to 2018. Katherine also gained experience as a Fulbright Scholar with COMEXUS from 2016 to 2017 and worked as a Lead Tutor at Tufts ESL from 2012 to 2014. They were a National Teaching Fellow at Citizen Schools between 2014 and 2016. Katherine is currently pursuing a Master of Education at the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor of Arts degree at Tufts University.
