Walter Abrego

Walter Abrego is an accomplished professional with a strong background in philanthropy and program administration. Currently serving as a Board Member at The Coleman Foundation since January 2023 and as a Senior Associate Program Officer at Builders Initiative since April 2021, Walter is involved in initiatives aimed at fostering a healthier planet through strategic philanthropy. Prior experience includes roles at McKnight Foundation as a Program & Grants Associate and Program Assistant for International Programs from July 2018 to April 2021. Walter holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies and a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Northern Iowa, as well as a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Texas Tech University.
