Brion Burris has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Brion most recently served as the Vice President of Sales & Distribution at Builders, leading the sales and distribution team. Prior to that, they were the Specialty Distribution Leader at The Hanover Insurance Group.

From 2016 to 2022, Burris worked at Utica National Insurance Group, where they held the position of Senior Vice President. Brion led the Middle Market Underwriting and Commercial Lines Sales teams, achieving 90% total premium growth through effective distribution management and expense and book profile management. Brion also successfully expanded into new geographic and target markets.

Before joining Utica National Insurance Group, Burris worked at CNA Insurance for several roles. As the Assistant Vice President and Small Business Zone Leader, they analyzed local market opportunities, created strategic and tactical branch plans, and achieved double-digit growth in new business. Brion also served as the Zone Sales & Marketing Director for the Southeast and Mid Atlantic regions, implementing sales and distribution management strategies to increase market share. Additionally, they were the Regional Sales Director, responsible for setting strategic direction, executing sales strategies, and achieving significant new business growth.

Burris began their insurance career at The Hartford, where they held various management positions. As the Regional Select Customer Sales Manager, they directed a team of sales executives to increase market share and achieve financial goals. Brion also served as the Business Development Manager, overseeing underwriters and developing agency relationships for the personal lines insurance portfolio. Prior to that, they were the Small Commercial Business Development Supervisor, leading a team of underwriters to achieve new business and retention goals. Brion started as a Sales Representative, developing relationships with independent agencies and managing sales objectives.

Throughout their career, Burris has demonstrated expertise in sales and distribution management, strategic planning, new business growth, and team leadership. Brion has consistently achieved or exceeded goals, contributing to the success of the companies they have worked for.

Brion Burris attended Western Carolina University from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law.
