Michael Leal

Michael Leal currently serves as a Senior Product Manager at Buildertrend since October 2023, focusing on the development of a custom-built design system to enhance user experience. Prior to Buildertrend, Leal worked as a Product Manager at DonorDrive, where collaboration with stakeholders guided product strategy and progress reporting. Michael's extensive background at Duke Energy Corporation included roles such as Lead IT Applications Analyst, where responsibilities involved the adoption and implementation of Microsoft Office 365, coaching Agile practices, and presenting executive reports on project initiatives. Michael's diverse experience extends to community engagement as a Snare Drummer for the Carolina Panthers and event coordination as a Master Falconer at Medieval Times. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Coastal Carolina University and is pursuing an MBA at Penn State University.
