Nicole Imeson

Nicole Imeson is a Principal at Vertica Engineering, a boutique mechanical engineering firm specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design in Alberta since August 2022. As a Technical Writer, Nicole produces articles on engineering topics and is actively involved with the Building Commissioning Association as a board member and president of the Western Canada Chapter, having led a successful national conference in 2023. Nicole also hosts and produces the Failurology Podcast, focusing on engineering failures, and previously co-hosted the GLOE Podcast to inspire women and non-binary individuals in engineering careers. With a background in senior leadership at Reinbold Engineering Group and mechanical commissioning at RSR Engineering Services, along with degrees in Mechanical Engineering Technology and additional training in existing building commissioning and science communication, Nicole brings extensive expertise to the engineering field.
