Building Conservation Associates, Inc. is a private consulting firm active in the field of Heritage Conservation with offices in New York, Philadelphia and Newton Centre, MA. BCA was founded in 1985 by Raymond Pepi to assist architects, building owners, developers, museums, and government with virtually any issue related to the preservation and treatment of historic buildings and works-of-art in buildings or the public domain. Construction Administration and Management is an important part of BCA’s practice as it relates to the oversight and administration of contractors performing repairs to historic property. We are experienced in advocacy related to obtaining local (Landmark Commission), and state (SHPO) approvals as well as developing applications for historic preservation tax credits under NPS jurisdiction. BCA has created a software solution (CPTools) to assist building managers maintain their historic property, allowing scheduling, work orders and documents associated with building history, alterations and repairs.
