Amir Elbaz

Amir Elbaz’s career path spans from the military, to finance, and to technology, where his leadership of BeyondEdge is forging a new path for edge compute solutions with a unique approach to network architecture.

He has extensive experience in managing technology companies through their critical growth stages, utilizing his background to bring innovative ideas and products into the companies he manages.

As founder and Chief Executive Officer of BeyondEdge (formerly iPhotonix), Amir is ensuring his company stays ahead of the connectivity needs of enterprise and campus-wide environments, with simplified networks that are easy to manage, save on capital costs up front, and on operating costs throughout the lifecycle of the network.

Before founding BeyondEdge 10 years ago, Amir was the Chief Executive Officer of Viumbe, an integrated digital media company. Amir served as the Chairman and CEO of MobileSmith, a healthcare innovator providing turnkey mobile applications that improve health outcomes, patient satisfaction, and adherence for the new generation of digital health consumers.

Previously, Amir was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of GAIA Gmbh, which developed and produced large battery systems based on advanced lithium-ion technology. He held additional earlier positions with investment funds in the U.S. and Europe, focusing on high-tech investments. And, he was a Senior Associate with Netherlands-based Arch Hill Capital, and Vice President of Corporate Finance with investment company Yorkville Advisors. Amir also served as Financial Analyst with a governmental agency.

Amir earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Haifa (Israel) and his MBA in Finance and Investments from Baruch College (New York).
