Nilukshi Nonis

Nilukshi Nonis has a diverse range of work experience in various design roles. Nilukshi is currently working as a UX/UI Designer at BuildingMinds since October 2021. In 2019, they worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the Department of Integrated Design, University of Moratuwa. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, they worked at Colombo Design Studio as a Junior Product Designer and later as a Product Designer, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of product design and successfully launching multiple projects. In 2017, Nilukshi worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, teaching Theory of Product Design. Nilukshi also gained experience as an Interior Designer at Hansteel Fabrico in 2016 and as a Design Intern at Rainco Private Limited in 2015. Additionally, they participated in a research internship with Frog Design Inc, Shangnhai, Dialog, GSM in 2014, where they contributed to the development of the 'Govimithuru/Uzhavar Tholan' service app.

Nilukshi Nonis attended the University of Moratuwa from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree in Industrial and Product Design. Prior to that, they studied at Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya from 1996 to 2010, focusing on Arts without earning a specific degree. Additionally, Nilukshi Nonis obtained a certification in Google UX Design Specialization from Coursera in August 2021.
