Maria Isabel Costa has a diverse work experience in the field of product design and marketing. Maria Isabel started their career in 2015 and 2016 as a Marketing professional at MAPFRE | Seguros Portugal, where they focused on graphic design for presentations, campaigns, banners, and labels. Maria Isabel then moved on to APis Technology in 2017, where they worked as a UX&UI Designer, responsible for wireframing, mockups, social communication, and bringing humor to the office environment. In 2018, they joined Altice Labs as a UX&UI Designer and later transitioned to the role of Product Design Lead, where they managed a team of designers, ensured response to UX requests, and led the team's evolution in terms of UX, UI, and Business Design. Most recently, they joined Buildium in 2022 as a Senior Product Designer.
Maria Isabel Costa completed a Master's Degree in Design at the Universidade de Aveiro from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they acquired a Degree in Design from the same university, which they completed from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, Maria has obtained several certifications, including being a co-creator of Enterprise Design Thinking and a practitioner of Enterprise Design Thinking from IBM in June 2021 and March 2021, respectively. Maria Isabel also holds a UX-PM level 2 certification from UXalliance in November 2020. In September 2017, Maria completed a Marketing Digital Course offered by Google - Digital Atelie. Furthermore, in September 2016, they received a certification in "Ergotrip Design - The universe of stigma and the (re)construction of the identity" from the Magazine of International Meetings Ergotrip Design / Revista dos Encontros Internacionais Ergotrip Design.
