Alex Litvak is the current Chief Technology Officer at BuildZoom. Alex has held this position since August of 2013. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Engineering for Persistent Analytics at Investment Management for Thomson Reuters from 2007 to 2013. There, they led a team of 25 software developers, data quality engineers, and DevOps. Alex was able to keep the team focused and productive during times of corporate upheaval and instability. In addition, they hired and trained 12 engineers, promoted and mentored data analyst and engineering managers, and optimized performance and improved operational stability of a data pipeline consisting of hundreds of data processing applications.

Before their time at Thomson Reuters, Alex Litvak worked as a software engineer for StarMine from 2005 to 2007. StarMine was acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2007. Alex started at StarMine as an intern in 2001 and became a full-time software engineer in 2005. From 2004 to 2005, they also interned at Microsoft Corporation as a quality assurance intern.

Alex Litvak's educational career includes a B.S. in Computer Science and Management from the University of California, Davis as well as Lowell High School.
