Senior Robotics Engineer at Built Robotics

Emily Corser has a varied work experience, beginning with a Sales Assistant role at Bloomfield Street Newsagency in 2013. In 2015, they took on a Partner role at Tuition Today Tutoring Business and a Tutor role at the Queensland Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services. In 2016, they became an Undergraduate Engineer at CSIRO, working on a nitrate sensor project. From 2018-2019, Emily was a part of TeamQUT, working as the Underwater Task Lead for the 2018 Maritime RobotX Challenge. Most recently, they have been a Field Robotics Engineer at Built Robotics since 2019.

Emily Corser has a comprehensive educational history. Emily obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2019, after completing a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in the same field from QUT between 2014 and 2017. Emily also holds a Queensland Certificate of Education from San Sisto College, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, Emily has obtained four certifications: a Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) from the AQTF Qualification through Surf Life Saving Australia in 2015, a Provide Responsible Gambling Services certification from the Hospitality Institute of Australia in 2015, a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification from the Hospitality Institute of Australia in 2015, and a First Aid certification from Surf Life Saving Queensland in 2017.
